The Treatment for Afflictions

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim Rahimahullaah said:
ﻭﺃﻣﺮ ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ اﻟﻤﺼﺎﺏ ﺑﺄﻧﻔﻊ اﻷﻣﻮﺭ ﻟﻪ ،
ﻭﻫﻮ اﻟﺼﺒﺮ ﻭاﻻﺣﺘﺴﺎﺏ . ﻓﺈﻥ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻳﺨﻔﻒ ﻣﺼﻴﺒﺘﻪ ، ﻭﻳﻮﻓﺮ ﺃﺟﺮﻩ ﻭاﻟﺠﺰﻉ ﻭاﻟﺘﺴﺨﻂ ﻭاﻟﺘﺸﻜﻲ ﻳﺰﻳﺪ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﺼﻴﺒﺔ ، ﻭﻳﺬﻫﺐ اﻷﺟﺮ .
The Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam ordered the afflicted person with the most beneficial matters for him, which is patience and hoping for a reward.
Since indeed that decreases the affliction, and gives the person plenty of reward.
Anxiety, annoyance and anger and complaining increases the trial and the reward vanishes.’

ﺄﻧﻔﻊ اﻷﻣﻮﺭ ﻟلﻤﺼﺎﺏ
قال الإمام ابن القيم رحمه الله :
ﻭﺃﻣﺮ ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ اﻟﻤﺼﺎﺏ ﺑﺄﻧﻔﻊ اﻷﻣﻮﺭ ﻟﻪ ، ﻭﻫﻮ اﻟﺼﺒﺮ ﻭاﻻﺣﺘﺴﺎﺏ . ﻓﺈﻥ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻳﺨﻔﻒ ﻣﺼﻴﺒﺘﻪ ، ﻭﻳﻮﻓﺮ ﺃﺟﺮﻩ . ﻭاﻟﺠﺰﻉ ﻭاﻟﺘﺴﺨﻂ ﻭاﻟﺘﺸﻜﻲ ﻳﺰﻳﺪ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﺼﻴﺒﺔ ، ﻭﻳﺬﻫﺐ اﻷﺟﺮ .
