Shaykh Rabia bin Hadi Al-Madkhalee said:
‘Allaah – Subhanahu wa Ta’ala – sent all the Messengers -alayhim as-sallat wa sallam – to call the people to Tawheed, and that they should adhere to it. He prohibited them from Shirk, criticized them for it, clarified its danger and that it is an unforgiveable sin.

The Foundation of the Dawa of the Messengers

Shaykh Rabia bin Hadi Al-Madkhalee said:
‘Allaah – Subhanahu wa Ta’ala – sent all the Messengers -alayhim as-sallat wa sallam – to call the people to Tawheed, and that they should adhere to it. He prohibited them from Shirk, criticized them for it, clarified its danger and that it is an unforgiveable sin.
وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ
《 And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allaah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc.).” Then of them were some whom Allaah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). 》 (16:36)
This was the Dawa of all the Messengers:
وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

And calling to the Tawheed of Allaah, prohibiting Shirk and keeping away from Taghut.
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ
《 And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad) but We inspired him (saying): La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else).” 》 (21:25)
Tawheed is a great matter and is a foundation for all righteous actions, these actions will not be accepted except upon this foundation of Tawheed.
If a person does a lot of actions while he associates partners with Allaah those actions will not be accepted from him even if he gave from the delights of gold,
وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًا
《 And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.》 (25:23)
