The Blessings of Adhering to the Senior Scholars

From Ibn Abbas from the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ who said:
البركة مع أكابركم .
‘Blessings are with your senior elders.’
[Collected by Ibn Hibban, al-Hakim, Abu Na’eem in ‘al-Hileeyah’ and graded Saheeh by Al-Albaani in Saheehah no. 1778]
Abdullaah bin Ma’sood -Radhi Allaah anhu- said:
لايزال الناس صالحين متماسكين ما أتاهم العلم من أصحاب محمد ﷺ ومن أكابرهم فإذا أتاهم من أصاغرهم هلكوا.
‘The righteous people will remain, those who adhere to knowledge which comes to them from the Companions of Muhammad -SallAllaahu alayhi wa Salam- and from their senior elders. If knowledge comes from their youth then they will be destroyed.’

عن ابن عباس قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :
البركة مع أكابركم .
[ السلسلة الصحيحة (1778) ]
أخرجه ابن حبان ( 1912 ) و أبو نعيم في “ الحلية “ ( 8 / 172 ) و ابن عدي في “ الكامل “ ( ق 44 / 1 ) و الحاكم في “ المستدرك “ ( 1 / 62 ) قال الحاكم : “ صحيح على شرط البخاري “ . و وافقه الذهبي , و هو كما قالا .
قال ابن مسعود:لايزال الناس صالحين متماسكين ما أتاهم العلم من أصحاب محمدﷺومن أكابرهم فإذا أتاهم من أصاغرهم هلكوا.
رواه الطبراني وإسناده صحيح
German
Der Segen der Zugehörigkeit zu den älteren Gelehrten.
Von Ibn Abbas vom Gesandten Allahs ﷺ, der sagte:
البركة مع أكابركم .
‘Der Segen ist mit Ihren Ältesten.’

Abdullaah bin Ma’sood -Radhi Allah anhu- sagte:
„Die rechtschaffenen Menschen werden bleiben, diejenigen, die an dem Wissen festhalten, das ihnen von den Gefährten Muhammads – sallAllahu alayhi wa Salam – und ihren Ältesten zuteil wird. Wenn das Wissen aus ihrer Jugend kommt, werden sie zerstört werden.’
