The Prayer is full of Tawheed

Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali said:
‘Indeed when a true believer stands in the prayer his whole body trembles out of fear of Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala. He is in a position 
of dread in front of al-Jabar (the Enforcer) of the heavens and the earth, in discourse with Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala.
Therefore, he should have reverence and humility for Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala.
The prayer is full of the Tawheed of Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala, all its pillars are established upon the Tawheed of Allaah Azza wa Jal.’

Means which lead to Khushoo in the Prayer
Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali was asked:
O noble shaykh I love you for the sake of Allaah. I am a young person who religiously adheres to the Deen of Allaah and I guard the prayer. However, I do not have Khushoo in the prayer and I find my heart to be hard, so what is your advice for me?
The answer:
‘I love you for the sake of Allaah for whose sake you have loved me. I ask Allaah that He gives all of us success in that which He loves and is pleased with and whom you loved for Allaah.
(( قل إن كنتم تحبون الله فاتبعوني يحببكم الله ))
<<Say, Indeed if you love Allaah, then follow me (the Prophet), Allaah will love you>>
[Ala-Imran: 31]
It is upon you to have obedience to this noble Messenger -Alayhi Salat wa Sallam- inwardly and outwardly and you will have goodness -In shaa Allaah.
Be honest with Allaah -Tabaraka wa Ta’ala- in your worship, in all your deeds and have sincerity for Allaah in your prayer. Seek refuge with Allaah Subhanahu, and read the Qur’aan with reflection, especially the Ayaat of promises and threats. Be alone between yourself and Allaah Tabarak wa Ta’ala. So with these circumstances one acquires awe of Allaah and acquires al-Khushoo – In shaa Allaah.
Regardless, as long as you continue to guard your prayers, and are regretful about what you feel from not having Khushoo etc, then this is proof – In shaa Allaah- that you have a heart which is alive – In shaa Allaah- then this feeling will lead you -In shaa Allaah- to all goodness.
The tragedy is for the one whose heart dies and does not feel sorrow or grief, and does not feel pain in these circumstances. Therefore, I hope that your pain and your yearning for reaching the status of Khushoo and crying in the prayer etc, causes Allaah to lead you to that which you seek and are eager for. I ask Allaah to make all of us reach this status. Indeed all of us are weak, and we complain to Allaah in these situations, however -In shaa Allaah- with continuity upon having all obedience and sincerity for Allaah -Tabarak wa Ta’ala- and the like of these feelings -In shaa Allaah- which will lead you to what you hope for and seek.
I ask Allaah to make this easy for you, and all the Ummah.’

الأسباب التي تؤدي إلى الخشوع في الصلاة
لفضيلة الشيخ ربيع بن هادي المدخلي حفظه الله
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الأسباب التي تؤدي إلى الخشوع في الصلاة لفضيلة الشيخ ربيع بن هادي المدخلي حفظه الله
السؤال :
فضيلة الشيخ أحبكم في الله ؛ أنا شاب ملتزم بدين الله ومحافظ على الصلاة لكنني لا أخشع في الصلاة وأجد قسوة في قلبي ، فما نصيحتكم لي ؟
الجواب :
أحبكم الله الذي أحببتمونا له ، وأسأل الله أن يوفقنا جميعا لما يحبه ويرضاه ولما يحببنا إلى الله (( قل إن كنتم تحبون الله فاتبعوني يحببكم الله )) [ آل عمران : 31 ] .
فعليك بطاعة هذا الرسول الكريم ـ عليه الصلاة والسلام ـ ، باطنا وظاهرا ، ويأتيك ـ إن شاء الله ـ كل خير ، اصدق الله ـ تبارك وتعالى ـ في عبادتك وفي أعمالك جميعا وأخلص له فيها ، والجأ إليه سبحانه ، واقرأ القرآن بتدبر خاصة آيات الوعد والوعيد ، وخاليا بينك وبين الله ـ تبارك وتعالى ـ ، فمثل هذه الأحوال تستجلب الخشية ، وتستجلب الخشوع ـ إن شاء الله ـ .
وعلى كل حال ، ما دمت تحافظ على الصلاة ، وتأسف على ما تحسه من عدم الخشوع إلى آخر ما ذكرت ، هذا دليل ـ إن شاء الله ـ على أن لديك قلبا حيا ـ إن شاء الله ـ ، وسيقودك هذا الإحساس ـ إن شاء الله ـ إلى كل خير ، المصيبة الذي يموت قلبه ولا يتحسر ولا يتألم من مثل هذه الحال ، فتألمك وتلهفك على بلوغ منزلة الخشوع والبكاء وكذا … وكذا … أرجو الله أن يقودك إلى ما تتطلع إليه وتتلهف له ، وأسأل الله أن يبلغنا جميعا ذلك ، فإننا كلنا ضعفاء ، ونشكوا إلى الله مثل هذه الحال ، ولكن ـ إن شاء الله ـ بالمداومة على الطاعة والإخلاص كلها لله ـ تبارك وتعالى ـ ، ومثل هذا الإحساس ـ إن شاء الله ـ سيقودك إلى ما تتمنى وتتطلع له ، وأسأل الله أن ييسر هذا لك ، وللأمة جميعا .
