Keeping links with the Scholars

Shaykh Abdus-Salaam bin Burjis – Rahimahullaah- said:
‘Indeed the Salafiyyah to which we call is not like the Islamic partisan groups (al-Jamaat al-Islamiyyah al-Hizbeeyah) which are present nowadays.
This is because Salafiyyah is the Jamaat al-Muslimeen (the Muslims group upon the truth).
So, everyone who believes in the Aqeedah as-Salafeeyah and in reality adheres to it then he is Salafi.
We do not distinguish between one and another, and we have no connection with other than those in authority over us from the rulers and Scholars.
We do not hide anything from what we are upon, in fact what we are upon is recorded in books, heard in tapes, so we have nothing secretive, we have no (Tantheem) organisation other than the organisation of the ruler.
We hold that adhering to the Scholars of the Salaf is a necessary matter. They are exemplified in the later generations by the Imams of the Dawa Najdeeyah (the scholars from the time of Imam Muhammad bin AbdulWahab) -may Allaah have mercy upon them all- and those affected by them in their time, and those after them.
Now we take from our scholars, those well known for the Sunnah, who do not stain with the filth of Bida’. Those who do not deceive with anything from desires, and these scholars are many – praise and blessings are for Allaah.’

الإرتباط بالعلماء الربانيين أصل من أصول الدعوة السلفية فلنتبه له ولا نغفل عنه طرفة عين قولا وعملا وليس قولا فقط.*
▪قال فضيلة الشيخ عبدالسلام بن برجس رحمه الله:
*إن السلفية التي ندعوا إليها ليست كالجماعات اﻹسلامية الحزبية الموجودة اﻵن ،* *إذ إن السلفية هي جماعة المسلمين ، فكل من اعتقد العقيدة السلفية والتزمها في واقعه ، فهو السلفي ، لا نفرق بين أحد وأحد ، وليس لنا ارتباط بغير ولاة أمرنا من حكام وعلماء ، ونحن لا نخفي شيئا مما عندنا ، بل ما نحن عليه مدون في الكتب ، مسموع في اﻷشرطة ، فلا سرية ، ولا تنظيم سوى تنظيم ولي اﻷمر.*
*ونرى الإرتباط بعلماء السلف أمرا ضروريا ، ويمثلهم في القرون المتأخرة أئمة الدعوة النجدية رحمة الله* *تبارك وتعالى عليهم أجمعين ، ومن تأثر بهم في وقتهم ، ومن بعدهم ، ونأخذ اﻵن عن علمائنا المعروفين بالسنة الذين لم يتلطخوا* *بأوضار البدع ، ولم يلتبس بشئ من الهوى ، وهم* *كثر ، ولله الحمد والمنة.*
