Pouring Water for One’s Wife
Translated
By
Abbas Abu Yahya
From Irbaad bin Sariyyah who said that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
‘When a man pours water for his wife to drink, he is rewarded.’
Irbaad said:
‘So I went to her and poured water for her to drink and informed her about what I heard.’
Collected by Bukhari in ‘Tareekh al-Kabeer’, Tabarani in ‘al-Kabeer’ and in ‘al-Awsaat’ & graded Hasan by Al-Albaani and he said:
‘From what strengthens this hadeeth is what is collected by Bukhari and Muslim and others from Saad bin Abi Waqqas that the Messenger of Allaah-SallAllaahu alayhi wa Salam said:
‘Indeed you do not spend an amount desiring by it the Face of Allaah, except that you are rewarded for it, even what you place in your wife’s mouth.’
