Ayaah no. 2

Allaah said:
وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
<<And whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.>>
[Al-Hashr – 7]
Shaykh Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shanqiti (d.1393 A.H.) Rahimahullaah said:
‘Know that the whole of the Sunnah is incorporated into one Ayaah from among all the abundant Ayaat which is the statement of Allaah Ta’ala
﴿ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا ﴾
<<And whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it)>>
[Al-Hashr – 7]

قال الله تعالى
﴿ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ ﴾ [الحشر – ٧]
[واعلم أن السنة كلها تندرج في آية واحدة من بحره الزاخر وهي قوله تعالى {وماءاتكم الرسول فخذوه وما نهاكم عنه فانتهوا-}]
