The Ruling of placing the deceased Janazah in between the Qibla and the people praying a regular prayer
حكم وضـع الجنــــازة فـي قبلـــة المصليــن
Translated

The scholar al-Qari -Rahimahullaah- said:
” وهو مما ابتلي به أهل مكة ، حيث يضعــــون الجنــــازة عنـد الكعبــــة، ثم يستقبلـــــــون إليها ”
‘This is what the people of Makkah (at his time) were trialed with, whereby they would place the deceased Janazah at the Ka’aba then face it for a prayer.’
[Marqaat al-Mafatih 2/372]
Shaykh Al-Albaani commented:
‘I say: this is referring to an obligatory prayer and this is a general trial and problem. This transgressed to the country of Shaam, Anatolia and other countries.
A month ago we came across an extremely disgusting colour picture, it was of a row of worshippers making Sajda towards stretchers lined up in front of them, on which were bodies of a group of Turks, they had died from drowning from a ship.
With this opportunity we want to bring to attention that generally from the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ was to pray the Janazah prayer in a Musallah outside of the Masjid.
Perhaps from the wisdom of that is to further worshippers away from falling into the likes of this wrong doing.’

قـــال العلامـة القـــاري رحمه الله :
” وهو مما ابتلي به أهل مكة ، حيث يضعــــون الجنــــازة عنـد الكعبــــة ، ثم يستقبلـــــــون إليها ” 📚( مرقاة المفاتيح 2/372 )
علـق عليـه الألبانــــــــي :
” قلت : يعني في صـــلاة الفريضــــة ، وهذا بلاء عام ، قد تعداه إلى بلاد الشام والأناضول وغيرها . وقد وقفنا منذ شهر على صورة شمسية ، قبيحة جدا ، تمثل صفــــا للمصليــــن ، ساجديـــن تجـاه نعـــوش مصفوفــــة أمامهـــم ، فيها جثث جماعة من الأتراك ، كانوا ماتوا غرقا في باخرة ” .
وبهذه المناسبة نلفت النظر إلى أن الغالب من هديــــه ﷺ ، وهو الصـــلاة على الجنائــــز في ” المصلـــــى ” خـــارج المسجـــــد ، ولعل من حكمة ذلك إبعاد المصلين عن الوقوع في مثل هذه المخالفة.
