The ruling of placing a book on top of a Mus-haf

Shaykh Muhammad Nasir uddeen Al-Albaani -Rahimahullaah- said:
“لا يجوز وضع كتاب فوق المصحف فهذا يتنافى مع قوله تعالى :ومن يعظّم شعائر الله فإنها من تقوى القلوب .”
‘It is not permissible to place a book on top of the Mus-haf, since doing so is incompatible with the saying of Allaah Ta’ala:
(وَمَن یُعَظِّمۡ شعائر ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقۡوَى ٱلۡقُلُوبِ)
《 And whosoever honours the Symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety of the heart. 》[Soorah Al-Hajj :32]
