The Pure ‘Aqeedah

The Pure ‘Aqeedah By Shaykh Ali Nasir al-Faqeehee
Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya

‘Indeed all Praise belongs to Allaah, we praise Him, we seek His aid, and we seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Him from the evil of our selves, and the evil of our actions. Whomever Allaah guides, there is none to misguide him, and who ever Allaah leaves astray then there is none that can guide him.

I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah Azza wa Jal, Alone without any partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Indeed the pure, unadulterated ‘Aqeedah is what came in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, the ‘Aqeedah which the Companions lived upon and those who followed them in goodness.

That ‘Aqeedah upon which Allaah united the hearts of His worshippers who were in sects and parties << each group rejoicing in its belief. >> [al-Muminoon : 53]

The enemies of al-Islaam became furious who were not able to stand in the face of the advance of Islaam and the spread of the Dawa’ of Islaam, which was upon the hands of those who carried this goodness which Muhammad -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- came with from his Lord and they carried to the people to rescue mankind by this Dawa’ from worshipping the worshippers to worshipping the Lord of the worshippers.

This is why the enemies of al-Islaam resorted to deception with Islaam by using means which were not confrontational. These cheap, filthy means, from those means was that some of them entered into Islaam with no love for it, but rather deceive it and its people. For example, like what AbdulAllaah bin Saba the Jew did, who entered a lot of evils upon the Muslims. Beginning by inciting to kill the rightly guided Khalifah Uthmaan bin Affan -Radhi Allaahu anhu, then after that he entered other beliefs which corrupted the beliefs of the Muslims like the claim of divinity for the rightly Khalifah Ali bin Abi Taalib -Radhi Allaahu anhu. Then after killing him, he claimed that Ali had been raised into the sky and that thunder is his voice as well as other false beliefs which the Shia Rawaafidah accept.

Then the evil people and those who held continuous evil ideas and by entering science of logic, reasoning and philosophy into Islaam they entered a lot of evil upon the Islaamic ‘Aqeedah, whereby they entered this type of science into matters of ‘Aqeedah which have no source that can be relied upon except the Book and the Sunnah.

When this evil entered upon the Islaamic ‘Aqeedah, then through this door entered the Tahreef (alteration and distortion of the textual wording) and the Ta’ateel (negation of Sifaat) of the Names of Allaah and His Attributes which are stated in the Honourable Book and in the authentic well-established Sunnah from the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam. Since there is none who is more knowledgeable about Allaah Ta’ala than Allaah Himself and there is none more knowledgeable about Him from His creation than His Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, therefore, he -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- is the most knowledgeable of the people about Allaah and the most pious from them of Allaah.

When this evil entered, the scholars of the Sunnah embarked in defending the Islaamic ‘Aqeedah from this doubt and they explained to the people the danger of it upon the principle foundation of the Islaamic Deen which is none other than the ‘Aqeedah of Tawheed which if it is destroyed then the Deen is destroyed from its foundation and this is what the enemies of Islaam want.

From those scholars of the Salaf who followed this methodology in advising the Ummah and directing it and clarifying the Madhab of the Salaf of this Ummah from the Companions, the Successors and all those who followed their methodology was : Shaykh Islaam Abu Isma’eel al-Harrawee, an aide of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- and defending it. He was a stump in the eye of the transgressors.
