Foundation of Bida

Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -Rahimahullaah- said:
مبدأ البدع هو الطعن في
السنة بالظن
والهوى كما طعن إبليس في أمر ربه
برأيه وهواه
‘The foundation of Bida:
Is attacking the Sunnah with presumption and desires just as Iblees attacked the order of his Lord with his opinion and desire.’

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله :
مبدأ البدع :
هو الطعن في السنة بالظن والهوى
كما طعن إبليس في أمر ربه برأيه وهواه .
