Deeds According to the Book & the Sunnah

Shaykh Rabee al-Madkhali said:
‘Having sincerity for Allaah and following the Messenger -sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam- means that your deeds originate from following the Book and the Sunnah and are based upon them.
﴿فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا﴾
《So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness》
meaning: following the Messenger.
﴿وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا﴾
《and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.》[Kahf:110]
Meaning: that no type of Shirk enters into this worship, neither major Shirk or minor Shirk, for example showing off.’

الإخلاص لله، والاتباع، أن يكون عملك ناشئًا عن اتباع الكتاب والسنة قائمًا عليهما
﴿فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا﴾يعني: متبعًا فيه ﴿وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا﴾ [الكهف:١١٠]
يعني لا يدخل في هذه العبادة أي نوع من أنواع الشرك لا شرك أكبر ولا شرك أصغر كالرياء.
