From Jabir from the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam who said:
إذا أُدْخِلَ المَيِّتُ القبرَ ؛
مُثِّلَتْ له الشمسُ عند غروبِها ،
فيجلسُ يمسحُ عينيهِ ،
ويقولُ : دَعُوني أُصَلِّي
‘When the deceased is entered into the grave, the sun is presented to him as if at sunset, so he sits up and rubs his eyes, and says: let me just pray.’
