The noble Shaykh Muhammad Amaan al-Jami Rahimahullaah (d. 1416 A.H.) said:
« صرف الشباب عن قراءة القرآن وحفظ ما تيسر من الأحاديث، والاشتغال بكلام السلف النافع، لأناشيد في الواقع، هذا حربٌ من الحروب الباردة، ضد الإسلام، من حيث لا يشعر شبابنا »
‘Taking the youth away from the Qur’aan, and from memorising what is easy of the Ahadeeth and Being busy with the beneficial speech of the Salaf to these current Anasheed then this is a type of cold war against Islaam, whereby our youth do not realise or sense it.’
