The Benefits of Righteous Companions cannot be enumerated

*|[ فوائد الأصحاب الصالحين لا تعد ولا تحصى ]|*

Shaykh AbdurRahman as-Sa’adi -Rahimahullaah- said:

‘The least of what a person benefits from sitting with a righteous person – and this is a benefit which should not be belittled – is that due to sitting with him you are stopped from evil and sinning.  Also due to having a concern for companionship, a competitiveness for doing good, raising oneself away from evil, likewise a good companion protects you in your presence and absence.
Besides that, his love and Dua for you benefit you during your life and after your death.
In addition, he defends you due to him being acquainted with you, and his love for you, you do not come across these matters yourself in order to defend yourself.
Likewise, he may introduce you to individuals and good actions which benefit you due to you associating with them.

The benefits of righteous companions cannot be counted or limited.

It is sufficient for a person to be regarded due to his friend, and him being upon the Deen of his friend.

✍ قال العلامة عبد الرحمٰن السعدي رحمه الله تعالى :
وأقل ما تستفيده من الجليس الصالح – وهي فائدة لا يستهان بها – أن تكف بسببه عن السيئات والمعاصي، رعاية للصحبة، ومنافسة في الخير، وترفعاً عن الشر، وأن يحفظك في حضرتك ومغيبك، وأن تنفعك محبته ودعاؤه في حال حياتك وبعد مماتك، وأن يدافع عنك بسبب اتصاله بك، ومحبته لك .
وتلك أمور لا تباشر أنت مدافعتها، كما أنه قد يصلك بأشخاص وأعمال ينفعك اتصالك بهم .
وفوائد الأصحاب الصالحين لا تعد ولا تحصى، وحسب المرء أن يعتبر بقرينه، وأن يكون على دين خليله .
