Whoever gives precedence to the opinions of people over the Sunnah

Shaykh Muhammad Amman al-Jami -Rahimahullaah- said:
‘Whoever now precedes that with which is authentic from the Sunnah with the opinions of people then he has:
• opposed the command of Allaah Who commanded us to follow the Messenger ﷺ
• opposed the command of the Messenger ﷺ
• and opposed the advice of the Imams
And he has no one with him upon this.’
