The Scholars know the Ignorant

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah said:
العالم يعرف الجاهل ، لأنه كان جاهلاً والجاهل لا يعرف العالم لأنه لم يكن عالماً !
‘The scholar knows the ignorant one, because that person is himself ignorant and the ignorant person does not know the scholar because he was not a scholar.’

قال شيخ الإسلام :
والعالم يعرف الجاهل ، لأنه كان جاهلاً والجاهل لا يعرف العالم لأنه لم يكن عالماً !
