Preference of the Kafir over the Muslim

The ruling on the statement:
‘We went and visited the lands of the Muslims, we found Muslims but we did not find al-Islaam. We visited the lands of the westerners, we did not find Muslims however, we found that they had Islaam!’
Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan -may Allaah protect him- answered:
‘This speech is not permissible! The first person to whom this speech was ascribed to, was Muhammad Abdu the Mufti of Misr at that time.
This statement was ascribed to him and Allaah’s help is sought.
The Muslims are better than the Kuffar, no matter what, even if the Muslims are weak, even if a Muslim is an evil sinner.
The disobedient, sinful Muslim is better than the Kaffir. Therefore, the Kaffir is not preferred over a Muslim, ever and this is not permissible.’

تفضيل الكافر على المسلم
حكـم قـول بعضهم :
( ذهبنا وزرنا بلاد المسلمين وجدنا المسلمين ولم نجد الإسلام، وزرنا بلاد الغربيين ولم نجد المسلمين ولكن وجدنا عندهم الإسلام ! )
قال العلامة الدكتور:صالح الفوزان حفظه الله :
هذا كلام لا يجوز ! هذا أول من نسب إليه هذا الكلام محمد عبده مفتي مصر في وقته، هو اللي نسب إليه
٩هذا الكلام والله المستعان ؛ المسلمون خير من الكفار مهما كانوا ولو ضَعُفُوا ، ولو؛ المسلم حتى الفاسق المسلم الفاسق العاصي خير من الكافر، فلا يفضل الكافر على المسلم أبدا ولا يجوز هذا. نعم .
