Some Ahadeeth Pertaining to Paradise & Hell-Fire

10 – 1444 – From Suraqa bin Muhammad from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-:

‘Shall I not inform you of the people of Paradise? The oppressed and weak ones, and the people of the Hell-Fire are every arrogant, conceited in the way he walks and proud person.’

11 – 1445 – From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-:

‘As for the people of the Hell-Fire those who actually are its people, [In another narration: those whom Allaah –Azza wa Jal- does not want to take out of Hell-Fire] those people will not die in it [not being able to rest] nor will they live [a good living].  However, those people who are afflicted with the Fire due to their sins [those whom Allaah –Azza wa Jal- wants to take them out of it] so Allaah will cause them to die completely, until they become like coal, and then intercession will be allowed, so they will be brought in groups, and they will be sent to the rivers of Paradise then it will be said: ‘O people of Paradise pour upon them, and they sprout like a seed sprouts in a torrential stream.’

12 – 1446 – From Abu Ayoob who said: ‘A Bedouin came to the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah! I love horses, are there horses in Paradise?’

The Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘If you were entered into Paradise a horse made of sapphire with wings will be brought to you, you will be carried upon it, and it will fly with you on it wherever you wished.’

13 – 1458 – From Zayd bin Arqam said, the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- who said:

‘Indeed a man from the people of the Hell-Fire will be made so big for the Fire so much so that a molar tooth from his teeth will be like mount Uhud.’

14 – 1449 – From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-:

‘Indeed Allaah –Azza wa Jal- takes out of the Hell-Fire a group of people after there remains nothing of them except their faces, then Allaah enters them into Paradise.’

15 – 1451 – From Jabir who said: I heard the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- saying:

‘Indeed the people of Paradise will eat and drink therein, and they will not spit, or urinate, or defecate, or blow their nose.

The people said: ‘What will be the food?

The Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘Their belching and perspiration would be like the fragrance of musk, then they will inspired with saying Tasbih (saying SubhanAllaah) and Tamheed (saying Alhamdulillaah), just like the inspiration of breathing.’

16 – 1452 – From Abdullaah bin Qayss that the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘Indeed the people of the Hell-Fire will surely cry, so much so that if ships were able to sail upon their tears they would do so. And indeed they will cry blood in the place of tears.’

17 – 1453 – From Abu Hurairah from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- who said:

‘The least punished person from the people of the Hell-Fire on the Day of Judgement is a man who is given shoes made from Fire by which his brain boils on the Day of Judgement.’

18 – 1454 – From Abu Hurairah who said: the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘The first group who will enter Paradise will be in the form of the moon on the night of a full moon.  Then those after them: will be like an extremely bright star twinkling in the bright sky. They will not urinate, or defecate, or blow their noses, or spit.  Their combs will be made of gold, and their perspiration will be Musk, and their container for burning perfume is aloe. Their wives will be Hoor al-Ain (Madiens of Paradise). Their forms like the creation of one single man, upon the form of their father Adam; sixty forearm lengths high in the sky.’
