Part Three

Not speaking too much about worldly affairs

Translated

Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah Rahimahullaah (d. 728 A.H) said:

‘It is neccessary for the person in the state of Ihram, not to speak too much, except with what aids him.

When Shurayh used to go into the state of Ihram it was as if he was a shy, deaf person.

A person is not a Muhrim (in a state of Ihram) just because of what is in his heart with the goal and intention of performing the Hajj, since this aim of performing Hajj continues to remain in his heart from the time he exits his city, however, it is necessary to have righteous speech and good deeds with which that person can be a Muhrim (in a state of Ihram ). ‘
