Allaah said
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ حَلَٰلٗا طَيِّبٗا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٌ ﴾
《O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan. Verily, he is to you an open enemy.》
[Al-Baqarah – 168]
《 O you who believe! Enter wholeheartedly in Islam and do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan. Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.》 [Al-Baqarah – 208]
Allaah said:
وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ حَمُولَةٗ وَفَرۡشٗاۚ كُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ
《And of the cattle are some for burden (like camels etc.) and some are small (unable to carry burden like sheep etc. for food, milk, wool etc.). Eat of what Allah has provided for you, and do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan. Surely he is to you an open enemy. 》
[An’aam – 142]
Allaah said:
فَدَلَّاهُمَا بِغُرُورٖۚ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا ٱلشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتۡ لَهُمَا سَوۡءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخۡصِفَانِ عَلَيۡهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَآ أَلَمۡ أَنۡهَكُمَا عَن تِلۡكُمَا ٱلشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل لَّكُمَآ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ لَكُمَا عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ
《So he misled them with deception. Then when they tasted of the tree, that which was hidden from them of their shame (private parts) became manifest to them, and they began to stick together the leaves of Paradise over themselves (in order to cover their shame). And their Lord called out to them (saying): “Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: Verily, Shaytan is an open enemy unto you?” 》
[Al-Aaraf – 22]
Allaah said:
قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ لَا تَقۡصُصۡ رُءۡيَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ إِخۡوَتِكَ فَيَكِيدُواْ لَكَ كَيۡدًاۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ
《 Yusuf’s father said: “O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers, in case they arrange a plot against you. Verily! Shaytan is to man an open enemy!》
[Yūsuf – 5]
Allaah said:
۞ أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَيۡكُمۡ يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ
《 Did I not ordain for you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaytan. Verily, he is a plain enemy to you.》
[Yā Sīn – 60]
Allaah said:
﴿ وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ
《 And let not Shaytan hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Tawheed), Verily, Shaytaan to you is a plain enemy.》
[Az-Zukhruf: 62]
<<Shaytan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahsha (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins etc.); whereas Allaah promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.>>
[Al-Baqarah – 268]
