Not from the Names of the Prophet

Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawzeeyah said:
‘As for what the common folk mention that ‘Yasin’ and ‘Taha’ are from the names of the Prophet – SallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, then this is not correct, it is not in an authentic Hadeeth or a Hasan one, nor a Mursal Hadeeth.
Nor a narration from a companion, in fact these are letters like, ‘Alif, Ha-Meem, Alif laam raa etc.

تُحفةِ المودودِ بأحكامِ المولودِ ( ص١٨٤ ):
قال الإمامُ ابنُ قيِّمِ الجوزيَّةِ في تُحفةِ المودودِ بأحكامِ المولودِ ( ص١٨٤ ): “وأمَّا ما يذكرُه العوامُّ: أنَّ يس وطه من أسماءِ النَّبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ؛ فغيرُ صحيحٍ، ليس ذلك في حديثٍ صحيحٍ ولا حسنٍ ولا مُرسَلٍ ولا أثرٍ عن صاحبٍ، وإنَّما هذه الحروفُ مِثلُ: ألم وحم وألر ونحوِها”
