Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah Rahimahullaah said:
“وَالصَّحَابَةُ لَمَّا كَانُوا أَعَلِمَ النَّاسُ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ
وَالسَّنَةِ ؛ لَمْ يُطَمِّعِ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يَضِلَّهُمْ كَمَا أَضَلَّ
غَيْرُهُمْ مِنْ أهْلِ الْبِدَعِ”
‘Since the Companions were those who were the most knowledgeable of the people about Tawheed and the Sunnah, then, the Shaytaan could not aspire to misguide them as he misguided others of the people of Bida’.’

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية:
“والصحابة لما كانوا أعلم الناس بالتوحيد والسنة؛ لم يطمع الشيطان أن يضلهم كما أضل غيرهم من أهل البدع”
