الأخذ بالفتاوى الصحابية والآثار السلفية

Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawzeeyah as-
Salafi (d. 751 A.H.) Rahimahullaah said:
‘Indeed the Ahl ul Sunnah wal Hadeeth who study and research the knowledge of the Messenger sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam and the knowledge of those from his innermost circle from his Companions.
They are the most knowledgeable about this inheritance of knowledge.
Therefore, their lives regarding the Deen whether it is of the knowledge, understanding, deeds and creed has a weightiness and is regarded in understanding the intent of Allaah and His Messenger.
This is why taking the fatawa of the Companions and the Aathaar as-Salafeeyah has precedence than the opinions of those who came later and their Fatawa.’

وقال ابن القيم رحمه الله:
إِنَّ أَهْلَ السُّنَّةِ وَالْحَدِيثِ الْمُشْتَغِلِينَ بِعِلْمِ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِلْمِ بِطَانَتِهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ هُمْ أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِهَذَا الْمَوْرُوثِ فَتَكُونُ أَحْوَالُهُمْ فِي الدِّيَانَةِ عِلْمًا وَفَهْمًا وَعَمَلًا وَاعْتِقَادًا لَهَا ثِقَلُهَا وَاعْتِبَارُهَا فِي فَهْمِ مُرَادِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَلِهَذَا كَانَ الْأَخْذُ بِالْفَتَاوَى الصَّحَابِيَّةِ وَالْآثَارِ السَّلَفِيَّةِ أَوْلَى مِنْ آرَاءِ الْمُتَأَخِّرِينَ وَفَتَاوِيهِمْ.

*صحابہ کرام کے فتاویٰ اور سلف صالحین کے آثار کی اہمیت*
علامہ ابن القیم رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں: اہلِ سنت و حدیث، جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کے علم اور آپ کے قریبی صحابہ کے علم میں مشغول رہتے ہیں، وہی اس میراث (دینی علم کے ورثے) کو سب سے بہتر جاننے والے ہیں۔ اس لیے دین کے حوالے سے ان کی علمی، فکری، عملی اور اعتقادی حالت بہت زیادہ وزن رکھتی ہے، اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مراد کو سمجھنے میں بہت زیادہ اہمیت رکھتی ہے۔ اسی وجہ سے صحابہ کرام کے فتاویٰ اور سلف صالحین کے آثار کو اختیار کرنااور اپنانا ، بعد میں آنے والوں کی آراء اور فتاویٰ پر ترجیح رکھتا ہے۔
