Encouraging a Dying Person

لا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَالله أَكْبَر
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَحْدَهُ،
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله لَا شَرِيكَ لَه
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله
From Abu Sa’eed and Abu Hurairah RadhiAllaahu anhumma that they testified that the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said:
‘Whoever said:
لأ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَالله أَكْبَر
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah, Allaah is the greatest
Then his Lord accepts this and says there is none worthy of worship except Me and I am the greatest.
When he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَحْدَهُ،
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah Alone.
The Prophet said that Allaah says There is none worthy of worship except Me Alone.
And when he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله لَا شَرِيكَ لَه
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and He has no associate with Him
the Prophet said that Allaah says My slave has been truthful there is none worthy of worship except Me and I have no associate with Me.
And when he said
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وحده لَا شَرِيكَ لَه
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah Alone with no associate, His is the Dominion and for Him is the praise,
the Prophet said that Allaah says there is none worthy of worship except Me, for Me is the Dominion and for Me is the praise.
When he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah
Allaah says there is none worthy of worship except Me and there is no capability nor is there any power except from Me.
Whoever is given the ability to say these at the time of his death will not be touched by the fire.’

The scholar as-Sindi (d. 1138 A.H.) -Rahimahullaah- said:
‘To whomsoever Allaah Ta’ala gives these statements at the time of death and gives him the ability for them then the fire will not touch him, but rather he enters Paradise from the outset with the righteous.
O Allaah make us from those who are given the ability for these statements.’

عن أبي سعيد و أبي هريرة رضي الله عنهما أنهما شهدا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قَالَ:
((إِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، قَالَ: يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَأَنَا أَكْبَرُ، وَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، قَالَ: صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَحْدِي، وَإِذَا قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ قَالَ: صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَلَا شَرِيكَ لِي، وَإِذَا قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، قَالَ: صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا لِي الْمُلْكُ وَلِيَ الْحَمْدُ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ، قَال:َ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِي . من رزقهن عند موته لم تمسه النار “ .))
رواه الترمذي وقال حديث حسن وابن ماجه والنسائي وابن حبان في صحيحه والحاكم و قال الألباني صحيح لغيره

قال العلامة السندي : قَوْله ( مَنْ رُزِقَهُنَّ ) مَنْ أَيْ مَنْ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّه تَعَالَى هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَات عِنْد الْمَوْت وَوَفَّقَهُ لَهَا لَمْ تَمَسّهُ النَّار بَلْ يَدْخُل الْجَنَّة اِبْتِدَاء مَعَ الْأَبْرَار اللَّهُمَّ اِجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ رَزَقْته إِيَّاهُنَّ.
