Calling the Jews & Christians Kuffar

Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali was asked:
‘Some people nowadays dislike and criticise applying the word ‘Kufr’ to the Christians and Jews.’
Answer:
‘This is wrong, it is necessary to believe that a jew is a kafir (non-Muslim) and a Christian (non-Muslim), this is necessary.
Teach the people, the Muslims that, if a group of Jews gather with you, then invite them to Islam, however, do not say to them you are kuffar.
The presentation should be well mannered and Dawa (the call) to Allaah should be with wisdom.
When a group of Sufis come to you, don’t say : ‘You’re Sufis! You’re misguided! You’re Tijani, you’re Marghani (both extreme Sufi sects), you’re such and such… No, in fact say to them: We all love the Messenger – In shaa Allaah, we are all Muslims – In shaa Allaah – however, there are differences between us and Allaah says:
{ فإن تنازعتم في شيء فردوه إلى الله والرسول إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر }
<<if you differ in anything then return it back to Allaah and the Messenger if you truly are believers in Allaah and the final day>>
Then you bring Ayaat and say, we have criticsim about you.
Firstly this, secondly this, thirdly this, fourth is this, – In shaa Allaah- they will accept their guidance from you.’

سئل الشيخ ربيع المدخلي:
(بعض الناس في وقتنا يستنكر إطلاق الكفر على النصارى واليهود )
ج: هذا غلط، لابد أن تعتقد أن اليهودي كافر والنصراني كافر لابد، وتُعلم الناس المسلمين أن هؤلاء كفار لكن أنت إذا اجتمع عندك جماعة من اليهود تدعوهم إلى الإسلام لا تقل لهم أنتم كفار؟
الخطاب يكون مؤدباً والدعوة إلى الله تكون بالحكمة. عندما يأتيك مجموعة من الصوفية لا تقول : أنتم صوفية! أنتم ضُلال! أنت تيجاني أنت مرغني! أنت ….لا، بل قل لهم : نحن كلنا إن شاء الله نحب الرسول، كلنا إن شاء الله مسلمون لكن هناك خلافات بيننا والله يقول
{ فإن تنازعتم في شيء فردوه إلى الله والرسول إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر }
وتأتي بالآيات وتقول : عندنا عليكم ملاحظات، الأولى كذا والثانية كذا والثالثة كذا والرابعة كذا، يقبلون منك إن شاء الله هدايتهم.
