Belittling the Ruler

From Abu Bakra RadhiAllaahu anhu who said, I heard the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ saying:
من أهان السلطان أهانهُ الله
‘Whoever belittles the leader, then Allaah belittles him.’
[Collected by Tirmidhi and graded Hasan by Al-Albaani in kitab as-Sunnah]
Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen Rahimahullaah said:
‘Belittling the leader has a number of forms:
From them: to ridicule the leader’s orders. So if he ordered a matter, a person sneers and says, ‘look at what he’s saying?!’
From that: when the leader does something which this person does not agree with, he says, look, look what he’s doing?!
He wants to belittle the order of the leader to the people, because if he belittles the command of the leader to the people then they will belittle the leader and they will not fulfill his command nor keep away from what he prohibited.
Therefore, whoever belittles the leader by spreading his deficiencies of misjudgement among the people and his dispraise, to revile and defame him, then he exposes himself to being belittled by Allaah Azza wa Jal because if he belittles the leader with these matters, then the people revolt against him and disobey him. Then here this will be means to evil so Allaah belittles him.
If Allaah belittles him in the worldly life then he has been given his punishment.
If he has not been belittled in the worldly life then he is deserving of being belittled in the Hereafter, and we seek refuge with Allaah.
Because the speech of the Messenger sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam is true:
من أهان السلطان أهانه اللّٰه
‘Whoever belittles the leader then Allaah will belittle him.’
So whoever aids the leader then Allaah aids him, because he aided the leader upon goodness and righteousness.
Therefore, if you clarify for the people what is obligatory upon them towards the leader and aided them upon obedience to the leader in other than sinning then this is great goodness, aiding upon righteousness, taqwa and goodness.
We ask Allaah for protection for ourselves and yourselves from what angers Him. And for success for what He loves and is pleased with.’

إهانة السلطان
عن أبي بكرة رضي اللّٰه عنه قال:
سمعت رسول اللّٰه ﷺ يقولُ:
*من أهان السلطان أهانهُ الله*
📌رواه الترمذي
وقال:حديثٌ حسنٌ📔
💡في شرح حديث.
*من أهان السلطان أهانه الله*
ثم ذكر المؤلف آخر حديث في هذا الباب؛ حديث أبي بكرة أن الرسول ﷺ قال: (من أهان السلطان أهانه اللّٰه).
↩ وإهانة السلطان لها عدة صور:
🔻منها : أن يسخر بأوامر السلطان، فإذا أمر بشيء قال: انظروا ماذا يقول⁉️.
🔻 ومنها : إذا فعل السلطان شيئاً لا يراه هذا الإنسان. قال: ، انظروا ماذا يفعل⁉️.
👈 يريد أن يهون أمر السلطان على الناس؛
↩ لأنه إذا هون أمر السلطان على الناس استهانوا به، ولم يمتثلوا أمره، ولم يجتنبوا نهيه.
♦️ ولهذا فإن الذي يهين السلطان بنشر معايبه بين الناس وذمه والتشنيع عليه والتشهير به.
🔸يكون عرضة لأن يهينه اللّٰه -عزّ وجلّ-؛
👈 لأنه إذا أهان السلطان بمثل هذه الأمور؛
تمرد الناس عليه فعصوه، وحينئذٍ يكون هذا سبب شر
فيهينه اللّٰه عزّ وجلّ.
⬅ فإن أهانه في الدنيا فقد أدرك عقوبته،
وإن لم يهنه في الدنيا فإنه يستحق أن يهان في الآخرة والعياذ باللّٰه؛
🔹لأن كلام الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم حق: (من أهان السلطان أهانه اللّٰه)،
✅ ومن أعان السلطان أعانه اللّٰه؛
لأنه أعان على خير وعلى بر، فإذا بينت للناس ما يجب عليهم للسلطان
وأعنتهم على طاعته في غير معصية فهذا خيرٌ كثيرٌ،
إعانة على البر والتقوى وعلى الخير،
نسأل اللّٰه لنا ولكم الحماية
عما يغضب وجهه، والتوفيق لما يحبه ويرضاه
و ﷺ وبارك على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
