Adhering to Superstitions

Abul Wafa bin Aqeel al-Hanbali (d 531 A.H.) said:
” لو تَمسَّك الناسُ بالشرعِيَّات تَمَسُّكَهُم بالخُرافَات لاستَقَامَت أمُورُهم ” .
‘If the people adhered to the Sharia like they adhered to superstitions their matters would be straight and correct.’
