Palestine & Wanting Change

Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani Rahimahullaah said:
‘Bayt ul Maqdis – [Maqdis] means a place of purification, a place by which a person can purify themselves from sins.
It is a well-known city. It has many virtues which I have authored a book about.
The most important of these virtues is that Masjid al-Aqsa is one of the three Masajid which a person can go to on a religious journey.
The Jews have occupied it from what they have generally occupied of Palestine.
May Allaah return it to the Muslims, as He returned it to them after the Christians had occupied it.
However, Allaah says:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ
《Verily! Allaah will not change the good condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of goodness themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allaah).》
Therefore, it is upon the Muslims to change what is with themselves from deviant beliefs, and evil manners, if they truly want Allaah Ta’ala to change what has descended upon them.’

فلسطين و ما نزل بهم
قال الشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني:
(بيت المقدس) : ومعناه المطهّر الذي يتطهر به من الذنوب، وهو بلد معروف، وله فضائل كثيرة أفردت بالتأليف، أهمها المسجد الأقص الذي هو أحد المساجد الثلاثة التي تشد الرحال إليها، وقد احتله اليهود في جملة ما احتلوا من (فلسطين) ، أعادها الله إلى المسلمين؛ كما أعادها إليهم من بعد احتلال الصليبيين إياها , لكن الله يقول: {إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ} ، فعلى المسلمين أن يغيِّروا ما في أنفسهم من العقائد المنحرفة، والأخلاق السيئة، إن أرادوا حقاً أن يغيَّر الله تعالى ما نزل بهم.
