Ayaah 1
Allaah said:
<<Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allaah and the Last Day, and remembers Allaah much.>> Ahzab : 21
Ibn Katheer said:
‘This noble Ayaah is a major principle in taking the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam as an example to follow.
Following him in his statements, his actions and his matters.
This is why Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala commanded the people to take the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam as an example on the day of al-Ahzab (the battle of the trench when all the tribes gathered to fight the Muslims) in regards to his patience, forbearance, determination, his striving and waiting for relief from his Lord Azza wa Jal.’
