Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali said:
Experimentation applies to medicine, not to ruqyah. Medicine is based on trials and experimentation. As for ruqyah, it is better for a Muslim to limit himself to the legislated (Islamic) ruqyah.
As for “experiments,” how do you even know (that they are valid), first of all, and where did this idea come from?!
