How to identify a person who follows his desires?

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan said:
‘ If you said to a person who is truthful and made a mistake,’ you have erred in this evidence, you have erred in the Sunnah, then he will accept this, because his aim and goal is the truth, and his aim is not to make his opinion victorious.
However, if you said to a person who follows desires, you have made a mistake, he becomes angry and very harsh, this is the sign of the people who follow whims and desires, that each one of them wants to make his whims and desires victorious.’

كيف تعرف صاحب الهوى ؟
قال الشيخ صالح_بن_فوزان_الفوزان -حفظه الله- :
– إذا قلت لصاحب_الحق إذا أخطأ: أنت أخطأت الدليل، أخطأت السُّنَّة، فإنه يقبل، لأن قصده الحق، وليس قصده الانتصار لرأيه…
– أما إذا قلت لصاحب_الهوى : أنت أخطأت، فإنه يغضب ويشتد، وهذه علامة أهل الأهواء، أنّ كل واحد يريد أن ينتصر لهواه .
