Ahl ul Sunnah & their love for the Prophet’s household
أهل السنة ومحبتهم لآل البيت

Shaykh AbdulMuhsin al-Abbad said:
‘From the adornment of the Ahl ul Sunnah wal Jammah is their love for the Companions of the Prophet, coming close to them, and having loyalty to them, and supplicating for them.
From the Ahl ul Sunnah loving the Companions and coming close to them is that they name their children with their same names.
Shaykh Muhammad bin AbdulWahhab -Rahimahullaah- had six boys and one daughter, their names are:
عبد الله، وإبراهيم ، وَعَبَد العزيز، وعلي، وحسن، وحسين، وفاطمة
Abdullaah, Ibrahim, Abdulaziz, Ali, Hasan, Hussain and Fatima.
All these names are the names of his ﷺ household family except Abdulaziz.
So, Abdullaah, Ibrahim, Fatimah are from the Prophet’s childrens’ names.
Ali who was the Prophet’s cousin and son in law, and Hasan and Hussain were his grandchildren.’

أهل السنة ومحبتهم لآل البيت
قال الشيخ عبد المحسن العباد حفظه الله
ومن محاسن أهل السنة والجماعة محبتهم للصحابة والقرابة وتوليهم إياهم والدعاء لهم، ومن محبتهم للصحابة والقرابة أنهم يسمون بأسمائهم ….
وللشيخ محمد بن عبد الوهاب رحمه الله ستة من البنين وبنت واحدة، أسماؤهم :
عبد الله، وإبراهيم ، وَعَبَد العزيز، وعلي، وحسن، وحسين، وفاطمة،
وكلها من أسماء أهل بيته ﷺ إلا عبد العزيز ، فعبد الله وإبراهيم وفاطمة من أولاده ﷺ، وعلي ابن عمه وصهره، والحسن والحسين سبطاه “.
